Job Description

Lead Data Analyst Permanent, full time Sydney preferred, Melbourne considered. $155,000 to $170,000 + superannuation + 15% bonus 21st July, 2026 Lead Data Analyst Permanent, full time Sydney preferred, Melbourne considered. $155,000 to $170,000 + superannuation + 15% bonus About the opportunity This global medical technology company has never had a dedicated Data & Analytics partner for its Medical business, which means this is a genuine build from the ground up rather than a step into an established function. You'll sit within the central Data & Analytics team but work primarily with the Medical business's finance, supply chain, customer service, sales and commercial leadership, giving you real visibility across the business rather than a narrow technical brief. The Medical business spans emergency care, transport care, acute care and communications solutions, covering products like ambulance stretchers, transport devices, hospital beds and defibrillators. The team is close knit, still growing, and genuinely invests in people through internal learning and development initiatives. What you'll be doing • Act as the dedicated Data & Analytics partner for the Medical business • Build trusted relationships and understand business problems, priorities and opportunities firsthand • Establish data and reporting best practice in a business area still early in its data maturity • Replace manual Excel reporting with automated Power BI solutions • Use SQL and Python to solve problems and deliver data solutions end to end • Support the move towards Databricks and Microsoft Fabric • Contribute to more advanced AI and machine learning work as it develops • Explain both simple and complex data concepts clearly to non technical stakeholders • Own work from initial problem definition through to delivery and adoption What we're looking for • Strong technical credibility across SQL, Python and Power BI • Confidence exploring Databricks and Microsoft Fabric, even without deep hands on experience • A track record improving manual or immature data environments • Genuine comfort communicating with executives, commercial leaders and operational teams alike • A hands on approach, including a willingness to do the detailed, less glamorous work • A history of owning initiatives rather than escalating and handing them off • Adaptability and resilience when priorities shift quickly • A real interest in stakeholder engagement and upskilling others Bonus points • Experience in healthcare, medtech, FMCG, finance or consulting • Exposure to businesses undergoing data transformation or modernisation • Motivation drawn from purpose driven work and visible business impact Apply For Job
