The Financial Analyst (FA) will work with the Sr. Manager, Financial Controllership to support the controllership functions for OpenText’s Brazil Entities. The FA will be an integral part of the accounting cycle, providing support to the Global Finance team, and assisting in accounting and financial reporting activities as well as regional requirements for the legal entities in Brazil. The FA will be a key member of the Latin American finance team, managing traditional controllership responsibilities, in addition to being a significant contributor to Latin America´s Statutory and US GAAP close. **You Are Great At**: - Responsible for the close of the Brazilian entities: - Perform analytical review of period-end financial results.
- Respond to monthly questions from management on the balance sheet and P&L review.
- Prepare account reconciliations required during the month-end closing.
- Promote best practices with Group Shared Services Centre (GSSC) and local outsourcing partners to ensure proper accounting and controls are in place.
- Responsible for review of intercompany transactions and balances assisting both GSSC and Treasury in local specific requirements.
- Responsible for the Latin America´s Controllership requirements: - Support the tax group in the preparation of the annual tax return.
- Provide support material for tax compliance requirements.
- Account Reconciliation of all tax-related accounts (including reconciliation between statutory and US Gaap accounts)
- Liaison with Business Finance regarding finance matters about Brazil.
- Prepare US GAAP and Statutory financial statements reconciliations.
- Provides local support to the business for matters pertaining to Brazil: - Assists the business in addressing financial matters. **What It Takes**: - 3+ years of finance experience
- Experience with general Controllership requirements
- Good knowledge of Statutory and US GAAP reporting and working knowledge of Brazilian Taxes such as PIS, Cofins, and ISS
- Strong collaboration and organizational skills
- Must be meticulous and detail-oriented
- Capable of working independently, multi-tasking to establish priorities, and completing objectives without supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced Excel skills
- Knowledge SAP is an asset
- Fluency in English
- Desirable Spanish language skills **_
Academic_**
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting
- CRC designation
