Purpose of the role Reporting into the Planning Office for Asia, as a Procurement Solutions specialist, you will be contributing to Procurement functional strategy, as well as category strategy development in Non-IT procurement goods and services, including sourcing execution, enterprise governance design and third-party management processes. The ideal candidate is a Procurement generalist with broad spectrum of knowledge across indirect categories. Specific experience with regional strategic sourcing, supplier risk and performance management would be required, with good-to-have primary knowledge of contracting. This role is envisioned to shape thought leadership in end-to-end third-party management, and regional policy governance to the branches in the region around procurement activities. The role would have opportunity to take lead in strategic sourcing and system delivery projects as a direct contributor or program manager supporting roll out in branches. This role is pivotal in identifying and realizing optimization and efficiency initiatives that deliver real business value in external spend categories across all MUFG’s business units, engaging closely with local and regional/global representative offices based in the Asia Pacific region, outside of Japan.
