Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. To qualify for the GS-11, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level: Assisting with systems administration, network support, cybersecurity tasks, or IT troubleshooting under supervision. Installing, configuring, and/or maintaining operating systems, data acquisition and processing systems, hardware, or software. To qualify for GS-12, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level: Performing systems administration or operation of servers, workstations, data systems, or network components; Troubleshooting IT or facility system issues that span multiple systems. To qualify for GS-13, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level: Performing IT tasks involving system integration, operation, cybersecurity compliance, network services, or multi domain troubleshooting; Developing or modifying IT processes, architecture diagrams, security plans, or system baselines. To qualify for GS-14, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level: Serving as senior technical authority for IT systems, data acquisition and processing systems, cybersecurity, or network architecture; Designing or leading major IT system upgrades, migrations, security boundary redesigns, or enterprise implementations; Providing authoritative advice to leadership for complex or mission critical IT environments. AND You MUST also have IT-related experience in the competencies listed in the How You Will Be Evaluated section below.
