We are hiring a full-time English & Writing Teacher for an established English enrichment centre in Singapore. This role focuses on teaching structured English and Creative Writing to Primary and Lower Secondary students in small-group classes. The centre has built a strong reputation in English instruction and has supported over 15,000 students across five branches in Singapore. Its programmes cover mainstream English, composition, comprehension, grammar, oral communication, and creative writing. You will teach with ready curriculum support, adapt lessons to student needs, and work within a structured team environment. Key responsibilities Teach 10 to 12 classes per week, typically 2 hours per class Deliver lessons in English writing, grammar, comprehension, oral communication, and creative writing Teach Primary and Lower Secondary students in small-group classroom settings Use provided lesson plans and teaching materials, while adapting delivery to student and class needs Track student progress and communicate professionally with parents and the internal team Contribute to a consistent, structured, and engaging classroom experience Work schedule 5-day work week, approximately 44 hours per week Fixed schedule for the year 1 weekday off and 1 weekend off Teachers usually handle 1 to 3 classes a day; up to 4 classes only on rare peak weekends Typical class gaps are about 15 minutes Limited work-from-home flexibility may apply on selected weekday mornings for marking or admin only; all teaching is onsite Requirements Degree-qualified Prior group classroom teaching experience strongly preferred Experience in an English enrichment centre, academic tuition centre, or similar classroom-based setting will be an advantage Candidates with only 1-to-1 home tuition experience may be considered, but must show readiness for structured group teaching Strong spoken and written English Able to manage and engage a class confidently Comfortable with evening and weekend teaching Able
