Job Description
We are hiring a full-time English Language Teacher for a structured, literacy-focused teaching role working with children at either the preschool or primary level. This role is suitable for educators who have a strong command of English, enjoy teaching young learners, and are confident helping children build strong foundations in phonics, reading, comprehension, writing, grammar, and oral communication. You will join a professional teaching environment with a clear curriculum, structured training, and a defined work schedule. Roles & Responsibilities • Deliver engaging English literacy lessons in a structured classroom setting • Teach core literacy skills including phonics, pre-reading, reading fluency, comprehension, writing, grammar, and oral communication • Build students’ confidence, positive classroom behaviour, and strong learning habits • Monitor student progress and provide updates where needed • Conduct student assessments and support placement recommendations • Communicate professionally with parents on student progress and learning needs • Support replacement lessons, assessments, and other teaching-related duties when required • Work closely with colleagues and centre management to maintain a consistent and high-quality learning experience Requirements • Degree or Diploma in Teaching, Education, Early Childhood, English, Linguistics, or a related field • At least 2 years of relevant teaching experience in enrichment, preschool, childcare, tuition, international school, or similar education settings • Strong command of spoken and written English • Clear communication skills and professional classroom presence • Confidence working with children in a structured teaching environment • Ability to engage parents professionally and work well within a team • Reliable, professional, and committed to high teaching standards Working Hours • Weekdays: 1:00pm to 9:00pm • Weekends: 9:00am to 6:30pm • This is a full-time role with a roster that includes weekday evening
