The Team The Digital Identity Platform collects, protects, and distributes the critical data that enables SoFi to recognize and support its members as they move through every product and feature. Digital Identity is the virtual representation of a person’s physical identity — the digital attributes essential for customer identification, relationship & entitlement and authorization (granting access to resources). If you are passionate about working on the platform that every SoFi product depends on to know its customers, this is the team. Our team’s tech stack is Java/Kotlin, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Datadog, Snowflake. For AI based development we use Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf etc. The Role You focus on software features and systems, anchored on a team but interacting across teams to deliver outcomes. Problems you tackle are broadly defined — you identify the specific solutions. You think 6–12 months ahead about system evolution and set standards for your team’s engineering practices.
