Every week our scrapers read the world’s job boards, company career pages and aggregators, then deduplicate what they find. This is the raw count. No estimates from third parties, no licensed data, no rounding up.
How we count
Postings are deduplicated on source URL as they are inserted, so a job that is reposted or re-scraped is never counted twice.
Two honest limitations. Our source list has grown over the past two months, so week-on-week increases partly reflect more boards being read rather than more hiring — we will publish like-for-like comparisons once the list has been stable for a full quarter. And the weekly figure is currently read from the database’s own row estimate for the week rather than a full scan, which is accurate to well under one percent but is not an exact tally.
