Job Summary
The Assistant Manager/Senior Executive, Marketing & Communications supports branding and outreach initiatives aligned with the organisation’s mission.
This is an entry-level role. The Assistant Manager/Senior Executive will work closely with the Artistic team, Production and Administration to ensure seamless synergy across the organisation's external and internal communications.
Responsibilities
Marketing Communications
• Provide strategic marketing direction and creative ideas for events and campaigns.
• Manage and update the website and social media platforms by proposing and implementing timely content and engaging with audiences.
• Strategise and execute integrated marketing campaigns across social media, digital channels, event marketing, and PR to increase brand awareness, generate leads, and foster community engagement.
• Manage media relations and PR efforts to drive awareness, educate the public, advocate the organisation’s impact, and garner public support.
• Prepare speeches, press statements, and coordinate media engagements to communicate key messages effectively.
• Strategise awareness and success of our fundraising campaigns and crowdfunding platforms to target audiences and hit fundraising targets.
• Manage production and distribution of e-newsletters, corporate videos, marketing collaterals, website content, and sponsorship decks.
Branding & Partnerships
• Serve as custodian of the organisation’s brand identity, ensuring consistent application of branding guidelines across all communications and marketing materials.
• Work closely with the Artistic team to develop creative briefs and event synopses for events and projects.
• Manage a central repository of multimedia assets and working files including key visuals, photo and video archives.
• Work closely with vendors and designers to produce social media content, infographics, display banners, print collateral, posters, reports, presentations, and various web-based elements.
• Collect and manage biographies, photos, and write-ups of artists and partners.
• Work closely with venues, event partners, and ticketing platforms to build and manage event pages.
• Establish and develop strong network of media partners and sponsors to support organisational initiatives.
• Collaborate with creative and media agencies, branding consultants, and event management partners for donor events, gala dinners, and performances.
Community Outreach & Engagement
• Establish strong network and ties with the arts communities, schools, corporate partners, and donors to support outreach efforts.
• Develop outreach and awareness plans through public performances.
• Prepare educational materials for outreach presentations and talks.
• Manage Front of House operations during events.
• Govern the design and production of the organisation’s website.
• Track, analyse, and report on marketing performance using tools such as Google Analytics and Social Media Analytics.
• Track, analyse and generate event attendance numbers.
Required competencies and certifications
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Communications
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience managing online and offline marketing
• Good storyteller at content creation, creative writing, and copywriting
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously
• Flexibility to work occasional weekday evenings and weekends for events, with time off in lieu
Preferred competencies and qualifications
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin as the role requires developing bilingual marketing content.
Expected salary range: $3500-$4000
