Key facts • Location: Singapore • Engagement: Full-time • Team: Elections Department (ELD) What you’ll do • Lead the delivery of engineering goals and product objectives within your squad. • Develop maintainable, high-quality software systems. • Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices. • Partner with Product Managers to execute high-priority initiatives. • Define engineering standards, conduct code reviews, and improve DevOps and security practices. • Manage technical dependencies across teams to accelerate project outcomes. • Reduce technical debt and maintain long-term system health. • Create and update technical roadmaps to align with future infrastructure and business needs. Requirements • Experience building and maintaining large-scale, high-availability software systems. • Proficiency in modern full-stack web development. • Demonstrated ability to lead technical decision-making and architectural discussions. • Commitment to software craftsmanship and team-based engineering. • Interest in developing junior staff and contributing to public sector technology. Nice to have • Experience with front-end frameworks such as Next.js, React.js, Angular, or TypeScript. • Backend development experience using.NET, Node.js, or TypeScript. • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS, Terraform, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and container orchestration.
