Senior Software Engineer, Managed Agencies at GovTech.About the role
You will join the Elections Department to modernize critical systems that support Singapore's democratic processes.
This role focuses on technical leadership within a squad, ensuring the reliability and security of software used by millions of citizens.

• Team: Elections Department (ELD) What you’ll do
• Lead the delivery of engineering goals and product objectives within your squad.
• Develop maintainable, high-quality software systems.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices.
• Partner with Product Managers to execute high-priority initiatives.
• Define engineering standards, conduct code reviews, and improve DevOps and security practices.
• Manage technical dependencies across teams to accelerate project outcomes.
• Reduce technical debt and maintain long-term system health.
• Create and update technical roadmaps to align with future infrastructure and business needs. Requirements
• Experience building and maintaining large-scale, high-availability software systems.
• Proficiency in modern full-stack web development.
• Demonstrated ability to lead technical decision-making and architectural discussions.
• Commitment to software craftsmanship and team-based engineering.
• Interest in developing junior staff and contributing to public sector technology. Nice to have
• Experience with front-end frameworks such as Next.js, React.js, Angular, or TypeScript.
• Backend development experience using.NET, Node.js, or TypeScript.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS, Terraform, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and container orchestration. Skills & tools
