Description BMC Forward Engineering lead Lead Engineer — AI-Enabled Full-Stack (.NET, React, Azure) Summary 10+ years of professional software engineering. Proven Full-Stack Development experience with .NET and React. Hands-on with AI coding assistants (Factory, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar). Azure is mandatory. Role focuses on leading POCs end-to-end while remaining hands-on in design and development. Key Responsibilities Lead and deliver POCs from discovery to production-ready prototypes. Define solution architecture and implementation plans for .NET backend and React frontend. Write high-quality, maintainable code; perform code reviews and enforce engineering standards. Leverage AI code-assist tools (Factory, Factory Co-Pilot, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, etc.) to accelerate delivery and improve code quality. Establish best practices and guardrails for effective use of AI assistants in the dev workflow. Collaborate with product, architects, and stakeholders to refine requirements, scope, and success criteria. Set up and manage CI/CD on Azure; ensure security, performance, and observability. Mentor developers and lead small squads during POCs. Must-Have Skills Full-Stack: .NET 6+ (C#, Web API), React 18+ with TypeScript. Cloud: Microsoft Azure (App Service, Functions, API Management, Azure SQL/Storage; Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions). AI Tools: Practical, day-to-day use of Factory, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar AI engineering assistants. Software Engineering: API design, integration patterns, testing (unit/integration), debugging, performance tuning. Architecture: Microservices or modular monolith design, event-driven patterns, security best practices (authN/authZ, secrets, OWASP). DevOps: CI/CD pipelines, IaC basics, containerization with Docker. Leadership: POC leadership, backlog/priority management, stakeholder communication, and technical mentoring.
