About the role: We are seeking a Senior Talent Partner to join cuspai's People Team, where you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our recruitment efforts for technical partnerships and business development positions. This position involves managing the complete recruitment process, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for both candidates and hiring managers. Your contributions will be vital in expanding our team and furthering our mission to innovate in materials discovery through advanced AI technologies.

• Lead the recruitment process for a variety of technical roles, which include software engineers, researchers, and business development professionals.
• Create and execute innovative strategies to attract top-tier talent from scientific organizations, AI research labs, and academic institutions.
• Serve as the face of cuspai to potential candidates, effectively communicating our mission and the significance of our AI-driven approach to materials discovery.
• Collaborate closely with hiring teams to draft job descriptions, establish role requirements, and design efficient interview processes that align with our company culture.
• Facilitate interviewer calibration sessions to ensure that evaluation criteria are applied consistently across candidates.
• Provide insightful, data-driven analysis regarding market compensation, talent availability, and hiring trends within the Deep Tech and AI sectors, specifically in Materials Science.
• Partner with the People Team to promote diversity, equity, inclusion, and a sense of belonging throughout our recruitment practices.
• Ensure an outstanding candidate experience that embodies the core values of cuspai.
• Maintain precise records in our Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to support informed hiring decisions based on data.
• Adhere to service level agreements concerning application reviews, candidate communications, and updates for stakeholders. Requirements
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in recruiting high-level technical partnerships or scientific business development roles within science or research organizations.
• Ability to excel in dynamic and fast-paced startup or scale-up environments, with a knack for building processes from the ground up when necessary.
• A strong desire to understand the intricacies of each role, coupled with a proactive approach to researching best practices in Talent Acquisition.
• Demonstrated success in hiring for complex technical roles, with a solid understanding of various engineering and research disciplines.
• A proactive sourcing mindset, utilizing diverse networks beyond conventional platforms to identify candidates.
• Strong stakeholder management abilities, providing valuable insights and guidance to managers and senior leadership.
• A genuine passion for the intersection of AI and science, with the capability to effectively convey cuspai's mission to prospective candidates. Nice to have
• An academic or professional background in Materials Science, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering.
• Experience in recruiting technical founders, PhD-level business developers, or researchers focused on technology translation.
• Familiarity with the MLOps landscape and the deep tech startup ecosystem. Skills & tools
• Proficiency in using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS)
• Experience with various sourcing platforms, such as LinkedIn Recruiter Practical notes
• This position requires some overlap with the working hours of our European teams.
• The initial onboarding process will take place in our Cambridge/London office for a few weeks.
• Occasional travel to Europe and other global locations may be necessary. Benefits
