Job Description

The Civil Construction Project Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing construction projects to ensure completion within scope, schedule, quality, and budget. The role involves close collaboration with project managers, consultants, subcontractors, and site teams to deliver building and upgrading works safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Assist Project Manager in overall project planning, scheduling, and execution of civil construction works Coordinate site activities including structural, architectural, and M&E interfacing works Review construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents Monitor project progress and ensure works are carried out according to approved plans and timelines Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site workforce effectively Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and quality requirements Prepare method statements, risk assessments, and construction programs Resolve technical and site issues in coordination with consultants and stakeholders Track project materials, resources, and cost control Prepare progress reports, site documentation, and project updates Ensure compliance with local authority regulations and construction codes

Job Requirements

Education & Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline Professional certification (if any) is an advantage Experience: Minimum 2–5 years of experience in building construction or major upgrading works Experience in general contracting environment preferred Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of civil engineering construction methods and standards Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Familiar with project scheduling tools (e.

g. , MS Project, Primavera is an advantage) Knowledge of construction safety regulations and quality control processes Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving and coordination skills Good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work
