Job Description

Department: Quality Assurance Report to: Head of Supplier Quality Engineering Section Functional Relationships with: Quality Assurance & Control Division POSITION PROFILE: Based in: Singapore Job site: Tuas The successful candidate will: Manage, monitor & assure good incoming part quality.

Manage part quality issues, deploy effective corrective & preventive measures. Audit, qualify to introduce parts & vendors. Monitor & work with vendors to improve part quality. KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure all parts are correctly verified & fit for use promptly.

Drive, resolve supplier-related quality issues promptly and effectively to ensure continuous supply of good quality parts. Monitor & analyse part data & supplier’s performance to identify risks; develop plans to improve parts, suppliers to meet quality expectations.

Train & enable technicians to function as effective detection and prevention gates of incoming materials to ensure good part quality. Audit, qualify, manage suppliers & parts. Map suppliers’ development plan with existing and potential suppliers.

Audit, verify suppliers’ quality systems, controls and processes to ensure their conformance to the requirements and standard. Review, improve / refine the SQE workflows, jobs, process efficiency & productivity of SQE operations. Manage, enable safe and efficient inspection process & operating environment.

Manage the SQE equipment to ensure their validity, fitness & correct functions. Manage a small team of technicians to conduct effective operations. Review, update & maintain SQE-related ISO documents periodically. Generate reports as necessary.

ABILITY/COMPETENCY REQUIRED: Degree in Engineering disciplines (mechanical, materials, chemical, quality or manufacturing). At least 3-5 years of relevant working experiences. Must be able to use Microsoft Office applications effectively. Experience in plastic injection and/or metal stamping will be excellent.
