Job Description

Company Overview We are a fast-growing international logistics enterprise, providing one-stop logistics services including sea freight, air freight, road transportation, warehousing, distribution and cross-border customs clearance. To support the rapid development of our South African local business, we are now recruiting an experienced Logistics Operations Supervisor to lead the local operation team, optimize logistics processes, and ensure efficient and stable daily operation. Work Location : Johannesburg, Soweto, Pretoria, Durban and Cape Town (on-site) The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for the overall management of local logistics operation work, team daily management, order scheduling, cargo tracking, warehouse and distribution supervision, and problem handling in the transportation process. This position needs to ensure on-time delivery, control operation costs, standardize team operation procedures, and support the sustainable growth of local logistics business. Key Responsibilities 1. Operation Team Management Lead and manage the local logistics operation team, arrange daily work shifts, assign job tasks, supervise team work progress, conduct daily work assessment, and improve team overall operation efficiency. 2. Logistics Operation & Scheduling Be fully responsible for local road transportation, cargo pickup, warehousing, sorting and last-mile delivery scheduling; monitor the whole process of cargo transportation, ensure no delay, loss or damage of goods, and guarantee on-time delivery rate. 3. Order & Document Management Supervise the processing of logistics orders, check waybills, delivery documents and customs clearance documents; ensure all operation documents are complete, accurate and filed in standard procedure. 4. Warehouse & Inventory Supervision Supervise daily warehouse management, including goods receiving, storage, inventory checking and stock taking; control inventory accuracy, optimize warehouse layout and storage efficiency, and reduce cargo damage and inventory difference rate. 5. Problem Handling & Risk Control Timely handle abnormal situations during logistics operation, including cargo delay, damage, return and customer complaints; summarize operational risks, put forward optimization plans, and avoid repeated problems. 6. Supplier & Customer Coordination Communicate and coordinate with local transporters, warehouse partners and third-party logistics suppliers; maintain good communication with local clients, feedback operation progress and solve service problems. 7. Process Optimization & Data Reporting Sort out daily operation data, complete weekly and monthly operation reports; continuously optimize local logistics operation processes, reduce operation costs, and improve service quality and customer satisfaction. 1. Matric / Grade 12 or above, Logistics Management, Supply Chain or Business related major is preferred. 2. 2–4 years South Africa local logistics operation experience, at least 1 year team supervision or senior operation experience. 3. Familiar with South Africa local road transport rules, warehousing operation processes and local delivery market conditions. 4. Familiar with logistics document processing, inventory management and abnormal order handling. 5. Fluent in English for daily work communication, negotiation and report writing. 6. Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data statistics, inventory sorting and report making. 7. Strong team management ability, scheduling ability and problem-solving capability. 8. Able to bear work pressure, have strong responsibility, rigorous work attitude and excellent execution. 9. South African local resident or candidate with valid South Africa work permit. 1.
