LTD. is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead one or two product engineering teams within the organization. You will work closely with Product Managers and Designers to shape project outcomes, make critical architectural decisions, conduct thorough code reviews, and elevate engineering practices across our cloud‑based, distributed systems. Key facts Location: Singapore Engagement: Full‑time Compensation: $2,160 - $3,120 Team: Logistics Engineering Teams What you'll do • Oversee the operations of one or two engineering teams, emphasizing both technical excellence and the professional development of team members. • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including Product Managers and Designers, to influence software delivery timelines and architectural strategies. • Perform detailed code reviews to ensure adherence to engineering best practices, thereby enhancing the overall quality of the software produced. • Cultivate a work environment that promotes ownership, accountability, and collaboration among team members. • Drive the adoption of Agile methodologies within the teams to streamline workflows and improve project outcomes. • Engage in strategic planning sessions to align engineering efforts with business objectives and customer need. • Mentor and guide engineers, helping them to grow their skills and advance in their careers. • Analyze and optimize the performance of existing systems, identifying areas for improvement and innovation. • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement, encouraging team members to stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies. • Collaborate with other engineering managers to share insights and best practices across the organization. • Participate in recruitment efforts to attract top talent to the engineering teams. • Ensure that the engineering teams are equipped with the necessary tools and resources to succeed in their projects. Requirements • A minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial capacity. • Demonstrated success in leading engineering teams and delivering complex software projects on time and within budget. • In‑depth knowledge of cloud‑native architectures and experience working with distributed systems. • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders. • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and a strong understanding of the software development life cycle. • Proven ability to mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a supportive and growth‑oriented environment. Nice to have • Experience or knowledge of logistics or supply chain management software solutions. • Background in mentoring and coaching junior engineers to help them achieve their career goals. • Familiarity with modern software development practices, including DevOps and continuous integration. Skills & tools • Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript, with a strong foundation in software development principles. • Experience with major cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and their associated services. • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools that facilitate continuous integration and deployment processes. • Familiarity with containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes, to streamline application deployment and management. • Understanding of version control systems, particularly Git, for effective code collaboration and management.
