About the role
We are looking for an experienced Engineer to join our Service team in WA Stirling office. You will be joining a very stable and robust team of Engineers in WA with several years of combined work experience within the organisation.
This is an excellent opportunity to advance your service career and become part of a community of highly skilled Engineers across Australia and New Zealand servicing a broad range of customers including Public and Private Hospitals and Diagnostic Imaging Centres.
To meet our customers’ requirements, some overtime, weekend, shift and on-call work will be required. Overseas and interstate travel may be required for training.
The highest standards of conduct, professionalism, demonstration of technical competency and Canon core values is essential for this position.
Key Responsibilities:
•
Install and service medical imaging equipment
•
Prepare equipment for demonstration
•
Ensuring equipment is operating at optimum levels
•
Ensuring that equipment specifications are tested and maintained for QA and compliance
•
Prepare equipment for demonstration
•
Complete relevant training and obtain required licenses for WA
•
Plan and lead installations and maintenance
•
Support sales and applications staff
•
Provide prompt customer service per contracted service levels and response times
•
Documentation of work conducted and test results
•
Leading, training and supervising other engineers as required
Our ideal candidate will possess:
•
Tertiary qualification in electronic, electrical, biomedical or computing engineering
•
Current driver’s licence is mandatory
•
Working knowledge of IT operating systems, particularly Windows
•
Hands-on experience of installing IT hardware and software
•
Must have or be able to obtain a WA Radiation licence (if not currently held, a plan to obtain within 6 months of commencement – Canon Medical provides time and covers cost)
•
Must have or be able to obtain a WA full electrical workers permit (if not currently held, a plan to obtain within 6 months of commencement – at your own cost and time)
•
Exposure to or demonstrated competency in multiple modalities (eg. CT, angiography, ultrasound, nuclear medicine)
•
Field service experience in electronic, electrical or biomedical fields is highly desirable
•
Prior service experience in medical imaging or similar equipment will be highly beneficial
•
A collaborative attitude with the ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
•
Exposure and experience with Salesforce or equivalent CRM is desirable
•
Problem-solving and customer-centric mindset with strong communication skills
•
Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PPT)
•
Networking experience will be highly valued
•
Able to commit to support customers for multiple days away from home, with short notice
