DevOps Engineer

Salary: £60,000 - 70,000 per year Requirements: • Commercial experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering or Infrastructure Engineering supporting production software. • Strong experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitLab, Jenkins or similar tools. • Excellent knowledge of Docker and containerised application deployment. • Experience with Infrastructure as Code technologies such as Ansible, Terraform or equivalent. • Scripting experience using Python, Bash or similar. • Strong Linux administration skills. • Experience deploying software into on-premises or restricted infrastructure environments. • Familiarity with messaging platforms and relational databases such as RabbitMQ, MariaDB or equivalent technologies. • Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance. Responsibilities: • Design, build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to automate software build, testing and release processes. • Develop and improve deployment and upgrade automation using Infrastructure as Code principles. • Build and manage development, integration and pre-production environments. • Automate environment provisioning to ensure consistency and repeatability. • Create and maintain monitoring, health checks and deployment reporting across multiple environments. • Develop tooling and documentation that enables engineering teams to deploy and manage software independently. • Work closely with development teams to improve build reliability, deployment efficiency and operational resilience. • Maintain version control, traceability and release management processes across the software lifecycle. • Contribute to capacity planning and continuous improvement of the engineering platform.
