• Design systems for compliance to applicable standards (i.e., CSA, ISO, ANSI, OSHA, customer specific)
• Establish robust supply chains and manage low-cost manufacturing partnerships
• Confer with colleagues, suppliers, contractors, customers, and relevant authorities to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and create appropriate technical documentation, including machine manuals
• Set goals, develop, and maintain equipment build schedules for project launches
• Research and evaluate mechanical products for application feasibility by applying knowledge of engineering principles for our continual product development
• Support equipment installations, operation, maintenance, and repairs to ensure that machinery is installed and functioning according to intended specifications
• Lead and participate in mechanical design reviews
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Bachelor or Master’sdegree in engineering (Mechanical or Mechatronics); P.Eng. designation required
• 5+ years of robotic systems integration experience in a custom automation environment
• Practical hands‑on mechanical aptitude and a sincere passion for engineering, robotics, and automation
• Extensive experience using SolidWorks and AutoCAD
• A portfolio of automation projects in which you made significant contributions
• A willingness to participate in all technical areas of the business as needed to solve complex problems and achieve business impact
• The capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain timing deadlines
