Job Description
Reporting to the Innovation Program Director, you lead an R&D and innovation program, from ideation and feasibility studies through industrial launch and commercialization.
Within the iCSC innovation center based in Lille, dedicated to low-carbon cementitious materials, you ensure alignment with strategic innovation priorities.
You are responsible for all projects within the program, ensuring execution across all phases, coordinating cross-functional teams and building robust techno-economic models.
You bring a strong track record in implementing and launching innovations in the building materials market, with expertise in program management, technical feasibility, economic analysis and market testing.
Your key responsibilities :
• Program leadership : You drive and coordinate a strategic innovation program that may include several projects. You apply the CRH Innovation Delivery process, and ensure milestones, budgets and scope are met.
• Cross‑functional management : You lead multidisciplinary teams across R&D, engineering, production, finance, marketing, sales, and procurement; You manage external partners including academic teams and CRH country teams.
• Technical feasibility studies : You oversee R&D activities, laboratory and pilot testing and industrial-scale validation.
• Techno‑economic modelling : You develop and maintain business cases, ROI calculations, sensitivity analyses, and deployment scenarios.
• Governance and reporting : You implement dashboards, KPIs, and financial and operational reporting for leadership and key stakeholders.
• Industrialization and launch : You coordinate capex project execution and support market introduction of new solutions.
• Risk management : You identify, assess, and mitigate technical, commercial, and financial risks across the program.
Your Profile:
You have a Master’s degree in Materials Science, chemical and process engineering, or equivalent / MBA or advanced degree preferred.
You have around 10 years’ proven experience, including 5 years in program and innovation management. You have strong expertise in construction materials and/or low-carbon technologies and have worked in international environments.
You are proficient in technical and economic analysis and cross-functional management, and you are recognised for your leadership and ability to influence others.
Your keen understanding of budgets and finance enables you to carry out cost-benefit analyses and assess return on investment.
You are fluent in French and in English (C1 minimum).
Presence required 2 to 3 days per week onsite at the LAB in Lille, with occasional travel across Europe
