Job Description
Job Responsibilities
1. Conduct in-depth research on local consumer trends, industry landscapes, key product categories, competitor dynamics, and overseas consumer demand to develop sourcing and merchandising strategies that support international business growth.
2. Identify and develop local brands, manufacturers, distributors, traders, and e-commerce sellers across multiple categories through industry exhibitions, trade associations, online platforms, and business networks, while leading commercial negotiations and supplier onboarding.
3. Select competitive and compliant products based on market demand and business priorities, drive product onboarding, listing, pricing, and promotional activities, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure product quality, supply stability, delivery timelines, and operational efficiency.
4. Establish and maintain a structured supplier management system by providing operational guidance and business support, monitoring supplier performance, optimizing cooperation models, and managing compliance and operational risks to maintain a healthy supplier ecosystem.
5. Collaborate closely with global and cross-functional teams including category management, supply chain, marketing, operations, and compliance to share local market insights, support promotional campaigns and strategic initiatives, and achieve business KPIs and growth objectives.
Job Requirements
1. Fluent in English; additional local language proficiency is preferred and considered an advantage.
2. Familiar with local compliance and regulatory requirements related to consumer products, with strong sourcing, merchandising, negotiation, and supplier management capabilities.
3. Good understanding of cross-border e-commerce operations and international market trends, with the ability to identify market opportunities and develop competitive product assortments.
4. Candidates with experience in FMCG, retail, e-commerce, sourcing, merchandising, procurement, or cooperation with local brands, manufacturers, distributors, and international trading businesses will be preferred.
5. Strong business development mindset and cross-cultural communication skills are highly valued.
