Job Description
Product Manager (Consultant) – Digital Products & Platforms
We are seeking a Product Manager to be involved in the planning, delivery, enhancement, and optimisation of digital products and platforms for various client projects. In this role, you will collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors to drive end-to-end product delivery, improve user experiences, and ensure operational excellence across digital solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Vision
• Collaborate with clients and business stakeholders to define product vision, objectives, and strategic roadmaps aligned with organisational goals.
• Develop product strategies and adoption plans that maximise business value and user engagement.
• Translate business priorities into actionable product initiatives and implementation plans.
Product Development & Operations
• Lead the end-to-end delivery of new digital products and enhancements, from ideation and discovery through implementation and post-launch support.
• Design, test, and continuously improve user journeys through experimentation, feedback collection, and iterative development.
• Develop and maintain product roadmaps, work plans, budgets, and implementation schedules with internal teams and vendors.
• Oversee operational support, maintenance activities, and continuous service improvements to ensure product reliability and performance.
Data-Driven Product Management
• Analyse user behaviour, business metrics, and operational data to drive product decisions and prioritisation.
• Collaborate with data teams to establish reporting frameworks, dashboards, and analytics capabilities that measure product performance.
• Translate data insights into actionable product enhancements that improve customer experience and business outcomes.
Product Planning & Prioritisation
• Prioritise product backlogs based on business value, customer needs, technical feasibility, operational considerations, and organisational priorities.
• Break down strategic objectives into deliverable product increments and sprint-ready work items.
• Define product success metrics and monitor delivery progress against agreed milestones.
Agile Product Delivery
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Work closely with product owners, engineers, UX designers, QA teams, and business users to define user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Support development teams in evaluating emerging technologies and implementing best practices throughout the product lifecycle.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
• Serve as the primary liaison between clients, business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors throughout project delivery.
• Facilitate stakeholder discussions, manage competing priorities, and provide regular progress updates to project sponsors and leadership.
• Coordinate vendor deliverables and ensure successful collaboration across multiple workstreams.
Technical Analysis & Continuous Improvement
• Conduct business and technical gap analyses to identify solution improvements, process optimisation opportunities, and capability enhancements.
• Evaluate solution options, integration requirements, and technical constraints while balancing business needs and operational considerations.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives through user feedback, analytics, and lessons learned.
Governance, Risk & Documentation
• Maintain comprehensive product documentation, decision logs, project artefacts, and knowledge repositories.
• Monitor project risks, dependencies, and issues, escalating where appropriate and recommending mitigation strategies.
• Ensure product delivery follows organisational governance, quality assurance, security, and compliance standards where applicable.
Mandatory Skills & Experience / Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Product Management, Digital Product Delivery, IT Business Analysis, or Solution Design.
• Demonstrated experience delivering digital products or platforms throughout the complete product lifecycle.
• Experience working closely with software engineers, UX designers, QA teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Proven experience using data and analytics to support product decision-making and performance optimisation.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, Scrum practices, Design Thinking, and Product-Centric Delivery.
• Experience managing product roadmaps, feature prioritisation, product backlogs, and release planning.
• Excellent analytical, conceptualisation, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
• Experience managing both product development initiatives and ongoing operational support for digital products.
Preferred / Advantageous Skills & Experience
• Experience delivering digital transformation initiatives across enterprise environments.
• Experience working with customer-facing web or mobile applications.
• Experience implementing product analytics, business intelligence, or data-driven product initiatives.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and modern digital architecture.
• Professional certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM) , Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) , CITPM , COMIT , PMP , or equivalent.
