Our client, a leading organization in the automotive and transportation industry, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their team. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be part of the Service Engineering department supporting vehicle design and maintenance operations. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Mechanical Engineer - Serviceability Location: Foster City, CA Pay Range: $72/hour + Benefits What's the Job? • Drive the Design for Serviceability (DFS) by evaluating form, fit, function, and access of vehicle components. • Collaborate with Vehicle Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Design, and Prototyping teams to optimize product serviceability. • Manage fleet inspection and maintenance programs to ensure operational efficiency and safety. • Develop comprehensive reports, findings, and opportunities to reduce costs and repair times. • Work with ERP solutions teams to develop, implement, and improve inspection and maintenance activities. What's Needed? • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. • 4 to 6 years of engineering experience, preferably within a service engineering organization. • Strong 3D CAD experience, with CATIA skills considered a plus. • Ability to design for various fabrication and manufacturing processes. • Solid understanding of complex mechanical and electrical systems, along with industry standards and safety protocols.
