Role: Business Analyst - Capital Markets Location: Belgium Duration: 1 year Workplace type: Hybrid Experience Required: 10+ years Key Responsibilities: • Business Analysis & Requirements: • Lead requirements gathering for settlement workflows, matching, confirmations, and exception handling. • Analyse and document business needs using use case modelling, process flows, ER modelling, and functional specifications. • Settlement Process Expertise: • Act as a domain expert in trade lifecycle, securities settlement, T2S, DvP/FoP, and cross-border settlement mechanisms. • Product & Change Management: • Define, design, and validate change requests in settlement systems and downstream processes. • Drive product evolution across market links, T+1 initiatives, business resilience, and platform enhancements. • Stakeholder Collaboration: • Work closely with operational teams, Product Managers, Group Business Solutions (GBS), custodians, clearing houses, and IT teams to deliver high-quality solutions. • Coordinate across business and technical domains to ensure smooth project delivery. • Issue Resolution & Operational Support: • Investigate settlement failures, unmatched trades, and reconciliation anomalies. • Liaise with front office, custodians, and counterparties to ensure timely settlement. • Testing & Validation: • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT), regression cycles, and readiness assessments for system enhancements or regulatory updates. • Contribute to test scenario creation and validation.
