Job Description
$35-$40 per hour Toronto, ON Contract **Location:** Toronto, Ontario, Canada - Hybrid (4 days/week onsite at Client office) **Duration:** 12 months, starting ASAP (extension possible, conversion possible) **Schedule** : Monday-Friday, core business hours; overtime as needed **Job Description** + Client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a Business Analyst II to join a collaborative team of analysts supporting a data management initiative within Enterprise Compliance.
+ In this role, you will partner with stakeholders across the business to identify and resolve data retention and disposition (DRD) gaps, helping ensure that data practices align with enterprise data management standards, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
+ This is a strong opportunity to build regulatory and data governance experience within a well-established, six-person team at a leading FI organization.
**Responsibilities** **Data Governance & Compliance Support** + Provide data management and governance support across the team + Ensure data is maintained in compliance with enterprise data standards, policies, and guidelines + Identify, escalate, and support documentation of project and data risks and issues + Build effective working relationships to collaborate with peers and partners on personal deliverables + Manage numerous stakeholder relationships and provide support where required **Data Retention & Disposition (DRD) Execution** + Support Data Retention and Disposition (DRD) remediation activities + Perform data analysis and assist in assessing and documenting DRD requirements + Support DRD analysis and development of Data Management and DRD procedures + Support identification, inventory, and cataloguing of existing data assets + Manually execute data disposition and evidencing **Required Skillsets** + **Governance:** Working knowledge of data governance principles and enterprise data management standards + **Confluence:** Strong, hands-on proficiency documenting and tracking work in Confluence + **Project Experience** : Demonstrated ability to manage timelines and identify/escalate project risk + **Data Analytics & Excel Reporting:** Comfortable performing data analysis and building Excel-based reports, including manual processing steps + **Stakeholder Management:** Able to manage multiple, concurrent stakeholder relationships + **Independent Working:** Capable of working independently with minimal oversight + **Communication:** Strong written and verbal communication skills **Preferred Skillsets** + FI / Banking industry background + Data management experience spanning controls, compliance, and regulatory understanding + Prior exposure to data retention and disposition (DRD) processes **Education** : Undergraduate degree **Certifications** : None required **Licenses** N/A **About US Tech Solutions** US Tech Solutions is a global staff augmentation firm providing a wide range of talent on-demand and total workforce solutions.
