Job Description
Job Summary:
The Senior Business Analyst plays a critical role in delivering comprehensive business analysis services to address diverse business and technological needs. This role involves engaging with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements, developing business cases, and applying re-engineering concepts to improve service delivery. The Senior Business Analyst ensures alignment with organizational methodologies and standards while driving digital transformation initiatives and supporting customer engagement and service excellence.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and conduct detailed business analysis to assess client business problems and opportunities.
• Gather, document, and analyze business needs and technical requirements through workshops, interviews, and modeling techniques.
• Develop business cases, cost-benefit analyses, and feasibility studies for I&IT initiatives.
• Apply process re-engineering concepts to promote alternative and cost-effective service delivery approaches.
• Prepare and advise on business analysis policies, processes, best practices, and standards.
• Develop business models, use case models, process maps, stakeholder maps, and systems diagrams.
• Facilitate workshops to elicit, review, and confirm business requirements and design specifications.
• Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and report regularly to management and stakeholders.
• Develop and track performance measures and traceability matrices for business analysis evaluation.
• Support digital transformation initiatives focused on customer engagement and service excellence.
• Provide technical leadership and functional business analysis expertise to project teams and clients.
• Participate in procurement processes by evaluating vendor proposals related to I&IT solutions. Required Skills & Certifications:
• Proven experience leading business analysis on medium to large projects.
• Strong skills in developing context diagrams, use cases, use case models, process maps, stakeholder maps, and systems diagrams.
• Experience writing business cases, conducting options analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and feasibility studies.
• Proficiency in requirements gathering techniques including JAD sessions, interviews, and mockups.
• Knowledge of software development life cycle, software design, integration, database concepts, and user interface design principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, interpersonal, negotiation, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Experience with Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE) tools.
• Ability to develop performance measures and conduct follow-up evaluations.
• Experience implementing best practices for Customer Service, Case Management, and Inquiry Management using Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Service and Power Platform. Preferred Skills & Certifications:
• Knowledge of Information Management principles, concepts, policies, and practices.
• Experience with business functional modeling, business event modeling, and business process mapping.
• Familiarity with structured, object-oriented, and agile methodologies for user requirements.
• Understanding of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and related standards.
• Experience supporting digital transformation and customer engagement initiatives.
• Knowledge of enterprise business architectural concepts and alignment with organizational standards.
• Experience in service delivery management, portfolio, program/project management, and resource management. Special Considerations:
• Must be available to work 5 days onsite as required.
• Role involves managing multiple stakeholders and requires strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to handle complex and evolving business environments with changing priorities. Scheduling:
• Standard business hours with potential requirements for flexible scheduling to meet project deadlines.
• Onsite presence required 5 days per week during the contract duration.
