Senior Financial Analyst - Global Payments company

Our client is a globally leader in the payments and financial technology space. They're looking to hire a key role sat within a specialised commercial finance function that manages high-value client contracts (regional bank and merchant partnerships) — translating complex contract terms into accounting treatment, payment calculations, and rebate/incentive outcomes under US GAAP. You'll own the top-tier, highest-complexity contracts in the region. This isn't a steady-state accounting role. The function is mid-transformation — moving to a modern ERP platform, simultaneously building out Power BI dashboards and exploring GenAI/AI-agent tools to automate contract-to-rebate calculations. You'll be at the centre of that build. What You'll Do • Own end-to-end accounting and reporting for complex, high-value commercial contracts • Interpret contract terms to determine correct financial/accounting treatment (US GAAP) • Partner with an offshore shared services team, providing technical guidance and quality review • Drive process automation — journal entries, reconciliations, rebate calculations • Support a system migration from legacy Excel-based models to a modern platform • Apply Lean/Six Sigma methodology to improve turnaround and controls • Explore and pilot GenAI/Copilot-style tools to build next-gen finance workflows What We're Looking For • 8+ years in finance/accounting/financial operations; Big 4-trained strongly preferred • Bachelor's from a top-tier institution (CPA/MBA a plus) • Strong US GAAP and financial controls background • Proven interest in data analytics — Power BI, advanced Excel, AI-enabled tools • Experience with process improvement, automation, or system implementation projects • Industry background flexible — payments/financial services a plus but not required • Comfortable managing offshore stakeholders and high-stakes, high-visibility contracts Why This Role • Genuine build mandate — you're shaping the future state, not maintaining the past • Clear next step into FP&A or Commercial/Sales Ops leadership - company has an excellent track record of promoting from within and into other functions • Global team with leadership exposure to stakeholders in the US, UK, ME
