Design Lead

About the Role:: We're looking for an experienced Design Lead to establish and scale Human-Centred Design within a multidisciplinary product team. You'll work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Business Stakeholders, and Users to drive Product Discovery, UX Strategy, Service Design, and Digital Innovation , delivering intuitive, accessible, and impactful digital experiences. Key Responsibilities:: Design Leadership ✔️ Lead and establish Human-Centred Design practices, frameworks, and standards. ✔️ Partner with Product and Engineering teams to shape product strategy and delivery. ✔️ Build scalable Design Systems and promote a strong design culture. User Research & Discovery ✔️ Conduct User Interviews, Usability Testing, Workshops, and Field Research . ✔️ Apply Qualitative & Quantitative Research to uncover user needs and validate product ideas. ✔️ Transform research into actionable insights and product recommendations. UX, Service & Product Design ✔️ Create Journey Maps, Service Blueprints, Wireframes, Prototypes, and High-Fidelity Designs . ✔️ Apply Service Design and Systems Thinking to improve end-to-end user experiences. ✔️ Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure successful implementation. Strategy & Innovation ✔️ Drive Product Discovery using research, analytics, and experimentation. ✔️ Explore AI-enabled Design and modern digital technologies to enhance user experiences. ✔️ Balance User Needs, Business Goals, and Technical Feasibility . Stakeholder Management ✔️ Facilitate workshops and collaborate with Business Leaders, Product Managers, and Engineering Teams . ✔️ Influence decisions through research, evidence, and storytelling . ✔️ Champion Product-Led and User-Centric ways of working. Design Excellence ✔️ Establish Accessibility, Usability, and Inclusive Design standards. ✔️ Mentor designers and contribute to building a strong design capability. ✔️ Promote continuous learning, innovation, and best practices. ✅ Required Skills:: Must-Have 8+ years of experience in UX Design, Product Design, Service Design, or Human-Centred Design . Strong expertise in User Research, Interaction Design, Information Architecture, and Design Thinking . Experience leading End-to-End Product Design and Product Discovery . Hands-on experience with Wireframing, Prototyping, Journey Mapping, and Design Systems . Strong understanding of Accessibility, Usability, and Inclusive Design . Experience collaborating with Product Managers, Engineers, and Agile Teams . Excellent Stakeholder Management, Workshop Facilitation, Communication, and Storytelling skills. ⭐ Nice to Have:: ✨ Experience building or scaling Design Practices . ✨ Knowledge of AI-assisted Design , Systems Thinking , and Digital Transformation . ✨ Experience in Government, Public Sector, or Regulated Industries . ✨ Experience mentoring designers and developing design maturity. Qualifications:: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Interaction Design, Service Design, Design Research, Graphic Design , or a related discipline.
