Programme Manager
Role Overview
The Programme Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of complex, cross- functional programmes that align with the strategic objectives of the organisation. This role involves overseeing multiple interrelated projects, managing stakeholders, ensuring resource alignment, and delivering measurable business outcomes.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a strong background in project and programme management, capable of leading diverse teams and driving transformation in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale programmes from initiation through to closure
Define programme scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with senior stakeholders
Develop and manage programme budgets, timelines, and resource plans
Coordinate cross-project activities and ensure alignment with strategic goals
Identify and manage programme-level risks, issues, and dependencies
Establish governance structures and reporting mechanisms to monitor progress and performance
Engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, ensuring e ective communication and change management
Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
Mentor and support project managers and team members to build capability and ensure consistent delivery practices
Qualifications and Experience
Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, IT, or a related field
Professional certification in programme management or project management (e.g., MSP, PMP, PRINCE2, Agile)
Desirable Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related discipline
Experience:
Minimum 8–10 years of experience in project and programme management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or programme management role
5 years’ experience in Financial Services sector
10+ years of experience delivering technology solutions including datacentre, campus, networks, cloud, security, software, hardware, EUS, etc.
Experience of delivering projects involving vendors such as Cisco, Arista, Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto, etc.
Proven track record of delivering complex, multi-disciplinary programmes worth $1m+ on time and within budget
Experience working in matrixed, global organisations and managing cross- functional teams
Strong understanding and experience of project management methodologies such as Waterfall and Agile
Experience with Project and PMO teams, tools and best practices
Demonstrated ability to manage change and drive continuous improvement

Location & Hours
Hybrid working model with weekly travel to London o ices
UK Hours, may require extended hours and weekends during critical programme phases
