Job Description

Commercial Finance Analyst | 6-Month FTC | Sydney CBD | Hybrid Working | Immediate Start Ideal Join a global retail business known for its strong customer focus and commitment to quality, care, and continuous improvement. This is a high-impact role partnering closely with Operations, Property and senior business leaders to support investment decisions, capital planning and business performance. You'll play a key role in supporting property and operational decision-making while helping deliver greater visibility over capital expenditure, business cases and portfolio performance. This role will suit someone who enjoys business partnering, financial modelling and turning data into commercial insights that influence decision-making. Key Responsibilities • Develop and review business cases for new investments and operational initiatives. • Build financial models, scenario analysis and ROI assessments. • Partner with Property and Operations stakeholders to support capital planning and portfolio decisions. • Analyse business performance, costs, margins and operational drivers. • Support budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting. • Deliver meaningful insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders. • Identify opportunities to improve reporting, controls and decision-making processes. • Contribute to ongoing finance transformation and process improvement initiatives. About You • CA/CPA qualified. • Experience in Commercial Finance, FP&A, Finance Business Partnering or Commercial Analysis. • Strong financial modelling and business case capability. • Confident working with senior stakeholders and challenging assumptions constructively. • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations. • Experience in retail, multi-site, property, automotive, hospitality or operationally complex businesses will be highly regarded. • Comfortable operating in an evolving environment and managing competing priorities.
