Senior Business Analyst (4-Month Contract) Project Description Our client is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to support multiple concurrent strategic initiatives within their Project Management Office. This is a full life-cycle Business Analyst role focused on finance and procurement-related project work, business process analysis, and supporting a vendor-led organizational strategy engagement. The successful consultant will work closely with project leadership, business stakeholders, subject matter experts, and third-party vendors to gather business requirements, facilitate workshops, document business processes, support procurement activities, and contribute to project planning and delivery throughout the engagement. Experience and Role Accountabilities • Minimum seven (7) years of experience working as a Business Analyst on medium to large enterprise technology projects. • Lead requirements gathering sessions with business stakeholders and facilitate workshops to identify business needs and project objectives. • Produce high-quality project documentation including Business Requirements, Functional and Non-Functional Requirements, User Stories, Use Cases, Process Maps, Current-State (AS-IS) and Future-State (TO-BE) process documentation, Data Flow Diagrams, and Requirements Traceability Matrices. • Analyze existing business processes and identify opportunities for business transformation, process improvements, and operational efficiencies. • Support finance and procurement-related initiatives by documenting business requirements, assisting with software procurement activities, participating in vendor evaluations, and supporting solution selection processes. • Conduct business process analysis, fit-gap assessments, and workflow documentation to support technology solution recommendations. • Identify, engage, and collaborate with stakeholders across multiple business areas while maintaining strong communication throughout the project lifecycle. • Manage and maintain project documentation, ensuring quality, consistency, and completeness across all project deliverables, including vendor-produced documentation. • Support project planning activities including business cases, project management plans, work breakdown structures, communications planning, stakeholder management, risk management, and quality management. • Assist with project coordination activities including tracking project financials, schedules, risks, action items, and reporting. • Support organizational change management activities, including impact assessments, transition planning, and stakeholder adoption. • Work collaboratively with Project Managers, technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are completed safely, on time, and within budget. • Provide ongoing analysis, documentation, and project support throughout the full project lifecycle. Education and Skills • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. • Minimum seven (7) years of Business Analyst experience supporting enterprise technology projects. • Demonstrated experience working on finance-related projects or supporting Finance departments with processes such as budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, capital planning, procurement, or accounting is considered a strong asset. • Experience supporting software procurement initiatives, including RFP development, vendor evaluations, demonstrations, and solution selection, is highly desirable. • Strong knowledge of business analysis methodologies and best practices. • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. • Strong facilitation and stakeholder engagement experience. • Experience creating detailed business and technical documentation with exceptional attention to detail. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Experience working in hybrid Agile and Waterfall project environments is considered an asset. • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. • Must be eligible to successfully complete a security clearance process. • Contract Length: 4-month contract to start, with a strong possibility of extension. • Hours: 7.5 hours per day during standard business hours. • Equipment: Client-issued laptop provided. #J-18808-Ljbffr
