Job Description
Our client, a well-established global asset management firm, is looking to hire an experienced Equity Research Analyst / Investment Analyst to join its Asia Equities investment team. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced portfolio managers and investment professionals, conducting in-depth equity research across Asian markets and contributing directly to investment decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct fundamental equity research and provide analytical support for Asia equity investment strategies. Cover companies across Asian markets, including India, Korea, Greater China, ASEAN, and Australia . Build, maintain, and enhance detailed financial models to support investment recommendations.
Monitor existing portfolio holdings and provide timely updates on company developments, earnings, and investment risks. Generate high-quality investment ideas through company, industry, and macroeconomic research. Prepare comprehensive research reports and present findings to the investment team.
Build and maintain relationships with company management, industry experts, and market participants to support research and channel checks. Prepare presentation materials for internal investment meetings and client presentations. Support business development and marketing initiatives where required.
Requirements
5–7 years of relevant experience in buy-side or sell-side equity research . Strong experience in fundamental equity analysis, financial modelling, and company valuation. Comfortable working as a generalist , covering multiple sectors and markets across Asia. Experience covering Indian equities is highly preferred.
Experience covering Korean equities would also be advantageous. Strong understanding of macroeconomic trends, industry dynamics, and equity markets. Advanced proficiency in Bloomberg , Microsoft Excel , and PowerPoint . Excellent analytical, research, and presentation skills.
