About the Company
KE Select is partnering with a global leader in the life sciences industry to recruit a Technical Support Specialist to join their National Service team based in Sydney.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly respected organisation supporting laboratories across research, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, food & beverage and environmental sectors throughout Australia.
About the Role Working alongside Support Coordinators and Field Service Engineers, you'll provide advanced technical support for a broad portfolio of scientific laboratory instrumentation.
You'll troubleshoot complex instrument faults, diagnose technical issues and provide expert support to scientists, laboratory personnel and internal service teams. This is not a field-based position, but it offers a genuine career pathway into a Field Service Engineer role for someone looking to grow within a global organisation.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide advanced remote technical support for scientific laboratory instrumentation.
• Troubleshoot instrument faults and perform root cause analysis.
• Support customers and internal service teams with complex technical enquiries.
• Interpret technical documentation, service manuals and instrumentation specifications.
• Manage technical priorities while delivering outcomes within service and project timelines.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and service records.
About You
You'll ideally bring:
• A tertiary qualification in Science , Mechanical Engineering , Biomedical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience supporting, servicing or troubleshooting scientific, analytical or medical instrumentation.
• A solid understanding of laboratory instrumentation, including mechanical systems, fluidics and pneumatics.
• Strong technical fault-finding, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working within service or project delivery timeframes while managing competing priorities.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to confidently support scientists, laboratory personnel and internal engineering teams.
• A collaborative, customer-focused approach with a passion for solving technical challenges.
