Job Description
Responsibilities
• Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and data requirements from business users.
• Conduct workshops and collaborate with Claims, Underwriting, Finance, Operations, and IT teams to understand business needs.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications and reporting requirements.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect tracking, and post-implementation reviews.
• Assist the Project Manager/IT Lead in managing project scope, timelines, risks, and deliverables.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal IT teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Support change requests while ensuring alignment with business objectives.
• Provide support for General Insurance systems, including claims (Motor & Non-Motor) and policy administration.
• Perform system enhancements, operational support, and data reconciliation for Merimen and TMOnline.
• Extract, validate, and analyze data using SQL and Oracle Database.
• Develop operational, management, and printable reports using reporting tools and VBA/VB automation.
• Support ad-hoc reporting, audit requests, and ensure data accuracy across multiple systems.
Requirements
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in the General Insurance domain.
• Strong knowledge of General Insurance processes, including claims and policy administration.
• Hands-on experience with Merimen and TMOnline.
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, validation, joins, and analysis.
• Experience working with Oracle Database.
• Knowledge of VB/VBA for report automation and report handling.
• Experience in data analysis, reporting, and report generation.
• Understanding of asset, master, and transaction data.
• Experience supporting UAT, defect management, and business requirement documentation.
• Experience working with vendors and outsourced teams is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Detail-oriented with excellent documentation skills and the ability to work in regulated, audit-sensitive environments.
