Job Description
Position Summary
We are seeking a proactive and analytical Logistics Operations & 3PL Management
Specialist to oversee the daily logistics operations for our offline business in France.
The role is responsible for managing inbound container transportation, warehouse
operations, outbound deliveries, logistics cost control and third-party logistics (3PL)
performance. The successful candidate will work closely with customers, logistics
providers and China Headquarters to ensure high service quality while continuously
improving logistics efficiency and reducing operating costs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Inbound Transportation & Delivery Management
• Manage all inbound container shipments to local warehouses in France.
• Coordinate direct container deliveries from ports to key customer distribution
centers.
• Monitor transportation schedules to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers and warehouses to resolve
operational issues.
• Monitor container unloading, warehouse receiving and transportation
exceptions.
2. Warehouse & 3PL Performance Management (to be added in the future)
• Manage the day-to-day operations of third-party warehouse and
transportation providers.
• Organize monthly and quarterly performance reviews with logistics service
providers.
• Monitor and improve key logistics KPIs
• Identify operational improvement opportunities and drive corrective actions
with 3PL partners.
• Ensure logistics service providers comply with agreed Service Level
Agreements (SLAs).
• Build long-term partnerships with logistics providers to continuously improve
service quality and operational efficiency.
3. Logistics Cost Management
• Monitor and control abnormal logistics expenses, including transportation
surcharges, detention & demurrage, storage charges and other exceptional
costs.
• Collect, verify and analyze:
• Inbound transportation costs
• Warehouse operating costs
• Outbound distribution costs
• Prepare regular logistics cost reports for management.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and support continuous logistics
optimization initiatives.
4. Continuous Improvement
• Analyze logistics performance and recommend process improvements.
• Support logistics optimization projects and operational excellence initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve logistics efficiency and
customer service.
5. Cross-functional Coordination
• Communicate effectively with customers, logistics providers, warehouses,
freight forwarders and transportation companies.
• Work closely with Sales, Supply Chain, Finance and China Headquarters to
ensure smooth logistics operations.
• Prepare logistics reports, operational analyses and management
presentations when required.
Qualifications
Education
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business
Administration or a related discipline.
• Professional certification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management (APICS,
CILT or equivalent) is preferred.
Experience
• Minimum 2 years' experience in logistics, transportation or supply chain
operations.
• Experience managing warehouse and transportation service providers (3PL)
is preferred.
• Experience in the consumer electronics or home appliance industry is an
advantage.
• Experience working in an international company.
• Experience participating in logistics supplier selection or tender projects is a
plus
Skills
• Good knowledge of warehousing, transportation and logistics operations.
• Strong analytical ability with experience in logistics cost analysis and KPI
management.
• Good organizational, planning and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; ERP/WMS/TMS experience is a plus.
Languages
• Fluent French.
• Good English communication skills (spoken and written).
• Chinese language ability is considered an advantage.
