Chief Financial Officer

Values Value is a recruiting company with expertise in game development and is currently looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer for a mobile games publisher and developer with 100+ employees. The company has an international structure with operational hubs in the EU and CIS, a fully distributed remote team, and its center of gravity in Cyprus, where the majority of legal entities and cash flow are based (alongside entities in the UAE and Hong Kong). As the company has scaled well beyond what an accountant-led setup can handle, the founders are now looking for a dedicated financial leader to own the full financial cycle end-to-end, professionalize reporting and the finance function, and help prepare the business for its next stage of growth. For which tasks (responsibilities)? • Own the full financial cycle end-to-end: multi-currency banking management across several jurisdictions • Prepare management reporting for founders and investors, broken down by product and by legal entity • Run short- and long-term budgeting, including a full annual budgeting cycle • Build financial models using game and UA metrics (MAU, DAU, ARPU, ROAS) to support product and investment decisions • Run tax optimization through preferential IT regimes across several countries • Modernize management reporting – connect it to the company's internal tools and move it from a static process to one that updates frequently • Raise the level of the in-house accounting function so it operates at a higher standard than ad hoc bookkeeping • Oversee reporting on the company's minority investments in other businesses, including tracking associated buy-back options • Identify and implement optimizations across the multi-entity, multi-currency structure • Lead Big4 audit readiness — bring reporting, processes and documentation up to the standard required for a full external audit What kind of professional are we looking for? • Solid CFO experience across game development and mobile app businesses • Hands-on experience with multi-currency banking and financial operations across several jurisdictions • Experience preparing management reporting for founders/investors, broken down by product line and legal entity • Comfortable running both short-term and long-term/annual budgeting cycles • Experience with financial modeling that incorporates product/marketing metrics • Practical experience with tax optimization via preferential IT/tech regimes in multiple countries • Experience leading or preparing a business for a Big4 audit, ideally with exposure to exit or M&A readiness • Experience managing and upskilling an accounting team What is important for us in a person? • Full ownership of the financial function – comfortable being the senior finance voice in the company • Structured and hands-on – equally able to set direction and get into the details of reporting and process • Comfortable operating across multiple jurisdictions, currencies and legal entities at once • Strong communicator – able to translate financial complexity into clear reporting for founders and investors • A coaching mindset – willing and able to raise the level of the existing accounting team • Discretion – comfortable handling sensitive financial and strategic information Why do we enjoy working here? • Real scope and impact – own the financial function of a profitable, growing international business • A high-leverage mandate – directly shape how the business is structured financially • A cash-flow positive, stable business – no dependence on external funding to survive, so decisions get made on the merits • A non-toxic, transparent culture • A remote-first, international team spread across the EU and CIS, centered on Cyprus What are the conditions and bonuses? • Full-time employment through the Cyprus entity, with the option to work from the office in Paphos (if you're based in Cyprus) or remotely on a B2B basis • Flexible schedule • Paid vacation and sick leave • Company offsites 1–2 times a year The selection process • Screening with VV Recruiter • Interview with the founders • Offer
