Job Description
“Everything in the world began with a yes. One molecule said yes to another molecule and life was born. But before prehistory there was the prehistory of prehistory, and there was the never, and there was the yes. It was ever so." — Clarice Lispector Every Mercury customer begins somewhere in the never, but not yet fully arrived. Not yet alive in the product. The Activation team exists to close that distance. To design the conditions that move a customer from the never to the yes: their first deposit, their first payment sent, their first card created, and their first real sense of what Mercury can do for their business. That first yes is not a feature or a metric. It is the beginning of a relationship. And like all beginnings, it shapes everything that follows. We’re looking for a product manager to lead this effort: to guide customers from their first deposit to their first “aha” moment and to design the systems that help them keep discovering value every single day. Done well, this work is invisible but essential, more choreography than funnel, more intuition than automation. About the team Activation is one of the most important levers we have to grow Mercury, and to grow with intention. It’s how we turn new signups into enduring customers, introduce the full depth of what Mercury can do, and create the foundation for long-term relationships. This role is at the center of that motion. You’ll help shape how people first experience Mercury, guide them toward value, and design systems that help them build trust, momentum, and confidence. It’s subtle, foundational work, quietly powerful in shaping how our customers grow, and how we grow with them. *Mercury is a fintech company, not an FDIC-insured bank. Banking services provided through Choice Financial Group and Column N.A., Members FDIC. What you’ll do Own the end-to-end user
