Co-Development Business Unit is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. This is a 1-year contract role. Responsibilities • Establish production‑grade infrastructure and CI/CD for a new grants platform, from current container‑platform • Enable multiple grant schemes to move off manual spreadsheet computation onto automated, auditable digital • Deliver reliable system‑to‑system integrations connecting intake, decisioning and disbursement across government platforms • Shape the engineering practices of an early‑stage platform team • Design, provision and manage cloud and platform infrastructure – compute, networking, containers, storage and supporting services – for development, staging and production environments on a modern container/PaaS platform, with eventual migration to government cloud infrastructure • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, release and deployment, using tools such as GitLab and CI; institute and promote continuous integration / continuous delivery practices across the team • Containerise and deploy the application using Docker, and manage environments declaratively with infrastructure‑as‑code (e.g. Terraform / OpenTofu) • Design, build and maintain workflows and decision services on Opus (GovTech's low‑code platform) to model case management processes, eligibility rules and grant‑computation logic • Build and harden integrations that orchestrate data between systems—ingesting applications and documents from intake services such as GatherSG, calling decision services, and writing outcomes to downstream systems of record with proper error handling, retries, idempotency and observability • Design, build, integrate, test and maintain complex software components across a modern full‑stack codebase • Set up monitoring, logging and alerting so the platform is observable and operationally reliable • Build prototypes and propose system architectures to demonstrate technology opportunities, including the responsible use of emerging technologies such as AI to enhance the service • Contribute to technical specifications and provide hands‑on technical consultancy across the development process within an agile, customer‑oriented delivery approach Qualifications Relevant qualifications in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering or related fields, or equivalent relevant experience. Strong, hands‑on infrastructure and cloud experience – provisioning and operating environments for application workloads on a modern cloud or container platform (e.g. Kubernetes, AWS, GCP or similar), covering compute, networking, secrets and access control. Good working knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD and containerisation, with practical experience using Docker and CI tooling such as GitLab. Experience with infr #J-18808-Ljbffr
