Duties: Job Title: Senior DevOps/SRE Engineer Strategy & Corporate Finance Who You ll Work With You ll join McKinsey s Strategic Growth Intelligence team, a high-impact engineering and analytics squad that designs and scales cloud-native solutions powering our financial intelligence platforms.

What You ll Do As a Senior DevOps & SRE Engineer , you ll be responsible for building, automating, and maintaining reliable, scalable cloud environments while contributing to backend development where needed.

Your key responsibilities will include: DevOps & Cloud Infrastructure Design, build, and maintain AWS-based infrastructure supporting high-performance analytics platforms. Use Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC), ensuring reproducibility and scalability of deployments.

Implement, manage, and optimize Kubernetes clusters for container orchestration and microservice scaling. Automate CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and alerting using industry best practices. Configure and manage databases PostgreSQL , MongoDB , and Kafka ensuring reliability, replication, and performance.

Champion cloud security, cost optimization, and disaster recovery best practices. SRE Define and improve reliability practices across cloud platforms and services. Establish and maintain observability standards, including metrics, logs, traces, dashboards, and alerts.

Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews. Create and maintain operational runbooks, playbooks, and automation scripts. Identify toil and implement automation to reduce manual operational work.

Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and product teams to ensure platforms are reliable, secure, and scalable. Drive continuous improvement in deployment reliability, system resilience, and operational processes.

Skills: Required DevOps Skills Strong DevOps expertise in AWS, Terraform, and Kubernetes (EKS preferred). Experience in managing databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL), and queues (Kafka). Proficiency in CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions is a preference.)

Hands-on experience with containerization (Docker), Linux-based containers and infrastructure automation. Solid understanding of monitoring and logging frameworks. Experience in deployment and supporting of JVM-based and Python applications.

Familiarity with RESTful API design, microservices architecture, and data-intensive backend systems. General Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Eager to learn new technologies. Effective communicator with both technical and non-technical audiences. Comfortable in Agile, high-paced, collaborative environments.

Fluent in English (written and spoken). Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer, or Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer are preferred.
