Job Description

Overview Senior Manager, Production – lead the manufacturing production team at the Arc’teryx New Westminster facility. Drive continuous improvement of production processes to meet safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and cost KPIs. Build and coach a strong team of production leaders and skilled manufacturing employees, empowering behaviors aligned with Arc’teryx culture and values. Partner with Engineering, Quality, Training, and Supply Planning to achieve factory and company goals with cross-functional synergy. Meet Your Future Team ARC’One, our manufacturing facility in New Westminster, hosts skilled makers and technicians who bring Arc’teryx products to life. Located near our Design Center, it supports prototyping, testing, refining, and manufacturing of technical gear. The facility handles complex products and repair/renewal programs, with hands-on, precision work where craftsmanship and continuous improvement converge on the production floor. Responsibilities • Oversee production operations, continually evaluating productivity and building synergy across Production and other factory support teams. • Accountable for all production pillars from raw materials to finished goods, ensuring KPIs are met or exceeded. • Optimize ARC’One capacity through process and system improvements, influence scalable product mix solutions, and develop smart talent acquisition, retention, and development plans. • Align with Supply Planning on capacity planning for all product lines and delivery dates with shared KPIs. • Develop effective workforce plans to ensure available capacity and align with stakeholders. • Define, implement, and evolve KPIs to measure all critical production activities. • Set daily, weekly, and monthly targets by department and ensure the management team focuses on pre-aligned production priorities to deliver results. • Prepare and communicate production status and other relevant information to the Supply Chain team in weekly meetings to address delays and changes. • Collaborate with Engineering and other production support teams to ensure New Product Introduction milestones are met; empower teams to give and receive feedback to support learning and design for manufacturability (DFM). • Align with Quality on brand and product quality expectations and coach behaviors to uphold quality standards. • Lead, mentor, coach, and develop high-performing Production Leaders by establishing accountability, structure, and processes to drive desired results. • Coach frontline leaders to collaborate with the Training team to identify knowledge and skill gaps and develop prioritized training plans for all production teams. • Improve raw material planning and management with Planning to reduce shortages and excess materials. • Support special projects as assigned. Qualifications • Degree in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or Operations/Manufacturing Management and/or equivalent education/experience. • 10+ years of manufacturing experience and 5+ years in a leadership role (apparel manufacturing a bonus). • Ability to articulate a clear vision aligned with company goals and communicate it across teams and functions for optimal execution. • Strong understanding of the product lifecycle process. • Proven track record of establishing and maintaining an excellent manufacturing environment. • Proven ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders. • Demonstrated people leadership, mentorship, and project management skills. • Initiative, agility, and commitment with strong cross-functional interpersonal and communication skills. • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and proactive in identifying root causes and implementing solutions. • Inspires breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement.
