About the role
Davies Collison Cave is now recruiting for a patent associate or
patent senior associate with experience in the field of electrical
engineering/ICT to join our Brisbane office.
Your day to day work will involve all aspects of private patent
attorney practices, including liaising with inventors and corporate
clients, drafting and prosecuting patent specifications, conducting
searches, providing patentability, patent infringement, patent
validity opinions, and providing strategic portfolio advice. You
prepare, prosecute, analyse and provide opinions on patent
applications relating to inventions in electrical/electronic
engineering.
About You
• A Bachelor's degree in electrical/electronic engineering,
ICT, software/computer science, artificial intelligence,
physics or a related field.
• Post doctoral and/or industry experience would be
valued.
• Current registration as a Trans-Tasman Patent Attorney and
a minimum of 2 years’ experience post registration.
• An excellent communicator with a strong command of written
and verbal English.
• Demonstrated commitment to and interest in local business
development.
• Are able to understand, critically analyse information and
think laterally.
• Well organised and self motivated.
• Committed to providing clients with quality advice and
service.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
