Job Description

Role Overview Currie & Brown is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to support the delivery of a large-scale Data Centre / Mission Critical Project in Singapore. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) management across the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with Singapore statutory requirements, client standards, and international safety practices. This role will work closely with the Project Management team, consultants, contractors, and client stakeholders to drive a proactive safety culture and ensure safe project delivery. Key Responsibilities • Develop, implement, and maintain the project EHS management plan, procedures, and safety standards. • Provide EHS leadership and guidance throughout the construction and commissioning phases of the data centre project. • Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews. • Monitor contractor and subcontractor safety performance and ensure compliance with project EHS requirements. • Review Method Statements, Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), and Permit-to-Work (PTW) processes. • Lead incident, accident, near-miss investigations and recommend corrective and preventive actions. • Facilitate safety meetings, toolbox talks, training sessions, and EHS awareness programmes. • Track and report EHS performance metrics, safety observations, and improvement initiatives to project leadership. • Ensure compliance with Singapore Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and environmental requirements. • Support emergency response planning, drills, and crisis management procedures. • Collaborate with project managers, consultants, contractors, and client representatives to embed safety into all project activities. Requirements • Degree or Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health, Environmental Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline. • Minimum 8–10 years of EHS/HSE experience within construction, engineering, industrial, semiconductor, or mission-critical projects. • Proven experience managing safety on large-scale construction projects, preferably data centre, high-tech, semiconductor, or M&E projects. • Strong knowledge of Singapore WSH regulations, risk management requirements, and construction safety practices. • Experience in contractor management, safety audits, incident investigation, and compliance reporting. • Familiarity with ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 management systems is preferred. • Relevant safety certifications such as WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (ACWSH), Specialist Diploma in WSH, or equivalent. • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
