M&E Lead Commissioning Manager
Location: Sydney, NSW
The Opportunity An established owner and operator of mission-critical facilities is seeking an experienced M&E Lead Commissioning Manager to lead commissioning activities across major data centre developments in Sydney.
Reporting into the senior leadership team, you'll be responsible for driving commissioning strategy and execution across multiple projects, ensuring critical mechanical and electrical systems are safely commissioned and handed over to operations.
This is a client-side role offering significant ownership throughout the commissioning lifecycle on complex, high-value projects.
Responsibilities
• Lead commissioning delivery across mechanical, electrical and controls systems.
• Develop and manage commissioning strategies, programmes and documentation.
• Coordinate contractors, commissioning agents, consultants and stakeholders.
• Review commissioning plans, ITPs, test procedures and method statements.
• Manage integrated systems testing (IST) and witness testing activities.
• Drive commissioning readiness and project milestones.
• Support defect management, practical completion and operational handover.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety and project standards.
• Provide technical leadership throughout project delivery. About You You'll ideally bring:
• Experience leading M&E commissioning on complex mission-critical projects.
• Strong background within data centres, hospitals, pharmaceuticals or other critical environments.
• Excellent knowledge of electrical and mechanical building services.
• Experience managing contractors and commissioning teams.
• Strong understanding of integrated systems testing and operational handover.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Relevant engineering qualification in Electrical, Mechanical or Building Services. What's on Offer
