Job Description
Amazon's Worldwide Grocery Stores-Grocery Tech Foundation team is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to lead medium to large cross-functional strategic initiatives that support WWGS strategic goals.
- Knowledge of distributed systems as it pertains to data storage and computing - 5+ years of data engineering experience - 3+ years of data warehouse technical architectures, data modeling, infrastructure components, ETL/ ELT and reporting/analytic tools and environments, data structures and hands-on SQL coding experience - Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions - Experience using business intelligence reporting tools such as OBIEE, Business Objects, Cognos, Tableau, MicroStrategy, SSAS Cubes, etc.
- Experience with any ETL tool like, Informatica, ODI, SSIS, Datastage, etc. - Experience with programming languages like Python, Pyspark or equivalent - Experience in reverse engineering legacy analytical/reporting applications where minimal documentation is available.
