Next Gen Talent Company: ASSISTIVE TECH SUPPLIERS PTY LTD Position: Software Engineer Location: 1/16 First Avenue, Broadbeach QLD, 4218 Australia Salary: AUD 100K + Super Minimum Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification with at least 3 years. of experience as a Software Engineer. Key Duties & Responsibilities: • Analyse business processes, workflows, and operational challenges to identify opportunities where Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) can deliver measurable business value and improve efficiency. • Manage cloud hosting infrastructure, application servers, development environments, and deployment platforms to ensure secure, reliable, and high-performing AI applications. • Design, develop, and deploy production-grade AI solutions using modern AI architectures, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), autonomous AI agents, vector databases, semantic search, and agent-to-agent communication frameworks. • Develop, deploy, and maintain Machine Learning models following MLOps best practices, including model lifecycle management, automated CI/CD pipelines, model versioning, performance monitoring, drift detection, retraining, and governance. • Build and integrate AI-powered applications using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI Service, and other enterprise AI platforms alongside custom software development. • Conduct proof-of-concept (PoC) projects and prototype AI solutions within sandbox environments to evaluate emerging technologies, compare implementation approaches, and validate business outcomes. • Contribute to software solution architecture by designing scalable, secure, cloud-native AI systems that integrate with existing enterprise applications and data platforms. • Present technical findings, solution options, feasibility assessments, and strategic recommendations to senior management, project stakeholders, and both technical and non-technical audiences. • Ensure AI solutions comply with Responsible AI principles by implementing appropriate guardrails, explainability, transparency, human-in-the-loop decision processes, security controls, privacy requirements, and applicable regulatory standards. • Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable web, cloud, and enterprise applications integrating AI/ML capabilities using modern software engineering practices. • Develop RESTful APIs, microservices, and secure integrations connecting AI services with enterprise applications, databases, and third-party platforms. • Optimise AI model performance, application scalability, cloud infrastructure utilisation, and operational reliability through continuous monitoring and performance tuning. • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, architectural diagrams, deployment procedures, and operational guides to support ongoing maintenance and knowledge sharing. Skills & Attributes: • Good knowledge on software configuration management systems • Logical thinking and problem-solving skills along with an ability to collaborate. • Proficiency in troubleshooting software issues and debugging a large codebase. • Experience writing functional and technical documentation. • Act as a source of knowledge on best practice in the implementation of operational software systems.
