We are looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer (Remote, Canada) to join a newly formed team focused on driving Lendesk's AI strategy. This team is responsible for bringing meaningful AI capabilities into our products and enhancing the broader mortgage workflow.
You'll work closely with real customers in a fast-paced environment, solving impactful problems and delivering innovative AI-powered solutions.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working across the full technology stack, maintains high standards for code quality, and takes full ownership of their work. You'll be expected to work independently, contribute to technical decisions, and grow alongside a collaborative engineering team.
Strong experience with Node.js , modern web technologies, and software delivery practices is essential. You should also have a clear perspective on automation tools for building, testing, and deploying software into production.
Key Responsibilities
•
Own features throughout the entire software development lifecycle—from requirements gathering and design to deployment and continuous improvement.
•
Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
•
Participate in code reviews, providing thoughtful and constructive feedback.
•
Clearly communicate and document technical decisions for both engineering teams and stakeholders.
•
Contribute to design discussions, requirements workshops, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
•
Participate in developer roundtables to improve engineering processes, tooling, and best practices.
•
Help shape and continuously improve the team's development workflow.
•
Support teammates by sharing knowledge, providing technical guidance, and participating in Lunch & Learn sessions.
What You'll Bring
•
Strong foundation in full-stack web development and software engineering principles.
•
Hands-on experience with JavaScript , TypeScript , Node.js , and React .
•
Proven ability to write clean, scalable, tested, and maintainable code.
•
Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts and incorporate feedback.
•
An ownership mindset—you proactively solve problems, take initiative, and care deeply about delivering high-quality outcomes.
•
Curiosity, adaptability, and a continuous learning mindset.
Bonus Points
•
Experience incorporating AI tools into your development workflow, with a thoughtful understanding of how and why you use them.
•
Experience building AI-powered features for production applications, whether professionally or through personal projects.
•
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, FinTech, regulated environments, and Agile software development.
•
Experience with modern engineering practices such as pair programming and Test-Driven Development (TDD).
