Job Description
This role oversees critical supplier portfolios, manages hardware testing, deployment, and new device launches across Amazon Fulfillment IT, while leading a team of supply chain professionals. The manager will:- Build and develop a high-performing team through coaching, mentoring, and career development, ensuring alignment with Amazon's leadership principles and organizational goals.- Lead supplier relationship management, including performance monitoring, capability development, capacity planning, and risk mitigation.- Develop product roadmaps and lifecycle plans in collaboration with IT hardware engineering, technical operations, and product management teams.- Create efficient forecasting and capacity planning mechanisms for new and existing products.- Drive team accountability for maintaining supplier scorecards, conducting quarterly business reviews, and addressing supply issues.- Oversee manufacturer and supplier reviews to ensure costs align with business objectives and meet cost avoidance goals.- Guide team in defining and delivering global solutions that improve supply chain speed and scalability.The role will be based in London with 20% of time traveling mainly around Europe.Key job responsibilities- Establish and develop the new Supplier Performance Management team. - Create strategies to effectively execute the responsibilities of the team, including management of product quality, supply risk, delivery performance, supplier data management, and supplier compliance.- Develop tools and mechanism to collect, measure, and report out on supplier metrics.- Further develop the current supplier scorecard mechanism to provide objective feedback to critical suppliers on strengths and improvement opportunities.- Engage with other leaders to improve Supply Chain processes related to supplier performance issues. - Engage with Suppliers in a hands-on approach to support every day, operational requirements related to delivery performance, quality issues, and compliance gaps.- Manage day to day escalations and prioritization of at-risk product orders.- Keep abreast of changing business requirements and market conditions that could impact supplier performance.- Perform spend analysis based on a variety of relevant information, prepare financial models, identify opportunities, and present business case and recommendations to internal business partners.- Support the strategic goals of the business partners; act as a ‘consultant’ to help achieve those objectives.
