Job Description Summary The Senior Engineer performs a leadership role within GE Hitachi’s Plant Systems Integration teams which focus on development of new advanced nuclear reactor projects. You will be responsible for engineering design support within a team environment, working with other disciplines, project/product stakeholders, partner organizations and suppliers to advance plant conceptual and detailed design and successfully deliver a new plants project. You will be part of a large team working on integrating and coordinating multi-discipline activities to support the design of safe and economically superior reactor designs by employing a balance of cutting edge and proven technologies and will be responsible for development and implementation of licensing and technical requirements along with the associated work processes for advanced work in new nuclear plants. Job Description Responsible for Plant Integration Engineering (PIE) activities that support: GE's BWRX-300 Small Modular Reactor Roles and Responsibilities Demonstrates accountability for cost, schedule, quality, and technical accuracy of assigned tasks. Provide technical guidance and leadership, oversee project scheduling and resource planning, develop talent through mentorship, and act as the point-of-contact between your engineering team and both internal and external customers. Conducts component and system integration with overall new nuclear plant design. All activities that span multiple components and systems that are concerned with how to integrate for maximum performance, operability, and design to cost. Manages product and systems requirements, specifications, and flow down. Drive the identification of verification and validation (V&V) requirements at the plant, system, and component level. Responsible for defining plant-level design requirements for the systems, components, subcontractors, and partner teams.
