Key Responsibilities Site Supervision: Direct daily M&E activities (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection) to ensure all installations align with approved shop drawings and specifications. Work Coordination: Resolve technical clashes on-site and ensure trades integrate seamlessly without delaying the main construction schedule. Quality & Compliance: Inspect workmanship, enforce Building and Construction Authority (BCA) regulations, and ensure all works meet Singapore standards. Safety Management: Conduct daily toolbox briefings, enforce Permit-To-Work systems, and maintain a strict zero-incident safety culture. [1, 2] Resource Allocation: Track material deliveries, manage equipment usage, and plan daily or weekly manpower deployment. Reporting: Document daily site progress, track inspection records, and report to Project Managers. General Requirements Education: Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Nitec or relevant trade certifications are often accepted for highly experienced foreman candidates. Experience: Typically 3 to 5 years of relevant on-site experience in residential, commercial, or industrial projects. Certifications: Often requires safety certifications such as the Building Construction Supervisors Safety Course (BCSS) . Skills: Proficient in reading M&E drawings, managing subcontractors, and working knowledge of Singapore compliance codes.
