Summary The Office of Research helps to facilitate life-saving biomedical research at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Nine distinct units provide specialized support to meet the administrative needs of our investigators and research staff, and together we coordinate, regulate, and monitor research studies. Within our Research Systems unit, our technical team provides front and back-end support for the institutions primary research applications. The Business Analyst II facilitates a full range of activities that ensure the operational use and effectiveness of systems and workflows that support the institution’s highly integrated research systems. The Business Analyst II designs, documents and improves workflow that improves efficiencies and optimizes resources and takes on projects of moderate complexity with business and technical teams. This position is fully remote, and all remote work must be performed within one of the MCW registered payroll states, which currently includes: WI, AZ, FL, IL, IN, MD, MI, MN, MO, NC, TN,TX, UT, GA, and DE. Primary Responsibilities Translates business requirements into business solutions; acts as liaison between departmental leaders, staff and information technology staff to design and configure business solutions to ensure business requirements have been met. Works closely with stakeholders to define business requirements and with technical staff to develop solution alternatives and actively participates in defining objectives to support changing business needs and availability. Coordinates IT troubleshooting and day to day activities within the department to ensure seamless and minimal downtime of hardware, software and reporting requirements. May manage small to mid-sized projects/tasks and represent the department on larger enterprise-wide project teams. Creates and maintains project schedules by developing project plans and specifications, estimating time requirements, establishing deadlines, monitoring milestone completion,
